CoreFlow is more than a workout; it’s a practice of connection—to body, mind, and self.

Our goal at CoreFlow is to create an inclusive and empowering movement experience that strengthens the core, improves flexibility, and enhances overall fitness. In many ways, this practice is a great grandchild of yoga

And, as a result of this, many of the forms will feel familiar.

However within Chi Gung, there’s a deeper emphasis on breath and visualization as well as feeling our body’s life force energy.

Together within a safe space we will bring forth embodied awareness and encourage healing.

When we return our awareness to our body with loving presence, frozen and forgotten emotions melt... And tears may come.

This will:

∆  Improve emotional processing & regulation

∆  Increase state control

∆  Enhance overall vitality and mood

∆  Provide a much needed emotional reset

It's also good for:

∆  lymphatic drainage - get sick less

∆  blood circulation - increase healing

∆  lung tissue - increase longevity

∆  hemi-sync - increase intelligence

This form has its origins in the Tien Shan Mountains of China and is known as Heavenly Mountain Qigong. It was practiced and taught by Bodhidarma and is said to be a path to enlightenment in it of itself--if practiced diligently and with proper guidance. Gabriel is certified to teach this form through Steve Smith, Lineage holder of Fook Yeung Shuan. Steve learned the Chi Gung from Grandmaster Fook Yeung

“For beginner and experienced yogis alike interested in fine-tuning alignment in their asanas. We’ll take a step back and examine ideal joint configuration pose by pose, with the knowledge that this may look different on everyone’s unique bodies.

More confidence in stillness = more fluidity and precision in motion!”

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to class? Are extra mats available to borrow?

  • We highly recommend bringing a water bottle. We have a freshwater jug available if you run out and need to re-fill at the studio, as hydration is key in hot yoga. And yes, we do have extra mats to rent-but if you have your own, we encourage bringing that. Also, it's likely you will get sweaty especially in a hot class, so if you have a sweat/mat towel you can bring that.

If I am new to yoga, what classes do you recommend?

  • If you have never tried yoga nor hot yoga and want to ease into that, we suggest starting with a Low&Slow class, or one of the Low-Heat Vinyasa classes. However, all of our classes are open to all levels, and instructors are great with offering modifications and demonstrating poses. Just tell your instructor before class if you are new so they can keep that in mind. We encourage the new student week/month specials to really get the chance to try all styles and instructors and find your niche!

What is the difference between Vinyasa and Hot Hatha classes?

  • Vinyasa essentially means linking breath to movement through a "flow" sequence. Throughout class you are constantly transitioning between postures with your breath and completing a chatturanga, upward dog, to downward dog sequence between. Our Hot Hatha class is structured similar to Bikram-yoga classes. You will complete 26 poses, each two times with a specific number of breaths holding each posture. You start with a standing series, and end with seated postures.

What about Yoga Sculpt?

  • Practiced in a hot room with weights and other props. You will begin class with a gentle warm up and then move into strength moves and increasing the heart rate, ending class with a gentle cool down. Weights and props can be optional, you are welcome to bring your own, but we do have them for use. We suggest drinking a lot of water throughout the day before and after. However, you will notice significant changes in your endurance and strength after attending a few classes consistently! This is a great class for athletes, or those looking for even more of a workout in their practice.

What temperature is the room?

  • For hot classes, the temperature is about 99-105 degrees. In our low-heat classes, the temp is in the 90s. Yin classes, Barre and Pilates and practiced in lower comfortable temperatures.

I have an injury, will I be okay to practice?

  • Yoga is often a great form of physical (and mental) therapy. However, listen to your body and please tell your instructor if you have an injury or anything that may affect your practice, so they can offer appropriate modifications.

Do I need to register for a class before attending?

  • We highly encourage pre-registration, but it is not required.

What age is appropriate to start practicing inside the studio?

  • For health and safety reasons, we have a minimum age of 12 for students practicing in the studio.

Is there childcare? Can I let my child sit in the lobby during class?

  • We are a small space and don’t have enough room for childcare. We love children, but please make other arrangements for children during your time here on the mat. We want it to be a peaceful environment for instructors to focus on the students’ needs and students to let go of all worries and focus on themselves and their time on the mat.
